| The Municipality of Tingloy is an island municipality of the Province of Batangas. It is situated in Maricaban Island within the Verde Passage, recently identified as harbouring the highest diversity of marine shore fishes in the world. The municipality has been constantly been undertaking measures to protect its globally outstanding biodiversity. The collaboration between the Municipality of Tingloy and CI through the Sulu Sulawesi Seascape Project is meant to stop illegal fishing activities and encroachment of commercial fishing vessels into the municipal waters.
