WWF - Philippines

WWF-Philippines, also known as Kabang Kalikasan ng Pilipinas (KKP), has been working as a national organization of the WWF network since 1997. The organization's conservation program places strong marine emphasis in the conservation of species and habitats and utilizes highly integrative and participatory approaches to find solutions that work for the environment and for the people that live in and depend on it.

For the Sulu Sulawesi Seascape, KKP will implement the project entitled “MPA Establishment in Batangas Province of the Verde Passage Marine Biodiversity Conservation Corridor”. Its objective is for the Marine biodiversity conservation and protection efforts in Batangas province be improved, where a network of marine protected areas in Batangas of the Verde Passage Marine Corridor is established and institutionalized, and the marine law enforcement capacities in Batangas province, in conjunction with Mindoro provinces, is coordinated and increased.
