VISION
We imagine a healthy, prosperous world in which societies are forever committed to caring for and valuing nature, our global biodiversity, for the long-term benefit of people and all life on Earth.
MISSION
Building upon a strong foundation of science, partnership and field demonstration, CI empowers societies to responsibly and sustainably care for nature, our global biodiversity, for the well-being of humanity.
CI currently has offices in over 30 countries, including the Philippines and Indonesia where Sulu-Sulawesi Seascape is located.
CI AND SEASCAPES
The Conservation International Seascape Program is working to support the establishment of large, multiple-use marine management regimes to ensure the future of healthy ecosystems and the diversity and abundance of marine life, as well as contribute to the sustainable livelihoods of communities and enterprises through sustainable fisheries. This program also facilitates a management framework to guide sustainable tourism, trade, and other economic activities. Conservation International is currently working with partners in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia in protecting the the people and the future of the Sulu-Sulawesi Seascape.
Aside from the SSS, CI also works in the Bird's Head Seascape in eastern Indonesia and the Eastern Tropical Pacific Seascape off the west coast of Central and South America.
