This publications tackles the Seascape approach in promoting marine conservation, specifically in the context of the Sulu-Sulawesi Seascape. It attempts to synthesize the lessons learned in the establishment and development of the SSS. Future Seascape initiatives may pick up a lesson or two about the essential elements of setting up and managing Seascapes, and may even validate some of their own lessons from the successes and weaknesses of the Sulu-Sulawesi Seascape experience.
